All surgeries and clinics are
appointment only. To make a routine appointment
please telephone our main number
01296 713434 during opening times.
If you cannot make your appointment for any reason please contact us and
cancel so that it can be offered to another patient.

In the event of an
emergency e.g. chest pain, shortness of breath or collapse, your call will
usually be put through immediately to the doctor. The doctor will decide
whether it is appropriate to offer an urgent surgery appointment, visit you
at home, or to arrange for an ambulance. An ambulance is arranged where
prompt treatment is essential e.g. suspected heart attack or
unconsciousness.

For urgent problems outside
of normal hours please ring the usual phone
number - 01296 713434 and you will be given details of the Harmoni 'Out of Hours'
Linkline Service. This Service can be contacted for out of
hours
support.
The 'on call' doctor can give telephone advice or will visit you at home. If
your
condition deteriorates before the doctor arrives please do not hesitate to
call again.
You may also wish to consider contacting NHS Direct for immediate advice on
whether a doctor is required or other action you need to take. The freephone
number is 0800 45 46 47 or the NHS Direct website can be found
here.

Please come to the surgery if
you possibly can. We are able to see
many more patients this way. If however you are too ill to attend, the
doctor will visit you at home. Requests for visits should whenever
possible be made before 10.00am.
You will be asked for details of your illness so that the doctor can assess
the
urgency and plan his visits accordingly. It does not do any harm to bring
children
with a temperature to the surgery, so please bring them if you can.

The doctors will
normally be available between 3.30pm
- 4.00pm to provide
telephone advice for patients contacting the surgery. Telephone calls need to be
booked in advance.
